The Cherry Pickers is a five-piece Somerset band featuring 3 female vocalists and an instrumental line-up comprising guitar, fiddle, mandolin, double bass and cocktail drums.

Their style incorporates elements of Western Swing, old time fiddle, broken hearted country and all things Americana. With vocal harmonies and a vintage dress sense reminiscent of the 40s and 50, they are frequent performers on the folk and country festival scene and can be caught at a more intimate gig in the pubs and clubs around the South West.

Image: Julie LaneTheir ever-growing fan base is a curious bunch; a mixture of Rockabillies, Hillbillies, Hank Williams devotees with a sprinkling of jazz buffs. To catch the Cherry Pickers at full temperature, you really need to see them in the flesh. Dust off your red shoes and check out their Myspace for future gigs.

"What a band! The Cherry Pickers deal in deep trad. Americana whilst delivering cute, heartfelt and moving covers of Nirvana, Hank Williams and The Beatles. Is it sexist to say they’re also gorgeous? Probably" (Burnham FolkFest) "I do like these young ladies, boy if I was 20 years younger…"
