Want to try a Fylde Touchstone in Somerset area

Postby Sam » Tue Feb 02, 2016 9:45 am

Hi there
I'm looking to try out a Fylde touchstone mandolin before I drive up north and buy one.
Does anybody have one located in the Somerset, Bristol area, or slightly further afield, who would be happy with me having a play for a couple of hours?

I'm upgrading from my Chinese imported f hole thing which has served me very well for years, but I want something that will get in tune and stay in tune! Currently the large body Hathway cedar mandolin is my favourite, but I've read so many good things about the fylde touchstone and I think it will also suit my style really well, with the longer neck.

Many thanks and great forum for getting to learn about this instrument I've played for years, and know very little about!
