New in East Anglia.

Hi. I'm a new player (though not my first instrument) in South Norfolk.

I was wondering if there were any groups/jams within reasonable reach ; many people recommend this as a good way to improve (and of course to meet those of like minds !).

I did see a reference to one in Burnham Thorpe, which isn't too far away, anyone know if this still happens ? I did PM the poster but haven't had a reply (yet)

Not too hard to get to Ipswich or Cambridge or possibly even Colchester at a push. Don't mind the travel too much, it's the downside of living in this quiet rural area.

Also, what sort of skill level is required ? Do people strum chords, pick tunes, or both ?
