MANDOLIN WORKSHOPS

A rare opportunity has arisen to study with Chris Acquavella,
who is coming to London to take part in the Alison Stephens
Memorial Concert being held on 11th March. Chris studied with
Alison at Trinity College London, and is one of the foremost
classical mandolin players in the USA. For more information visit

Two workshops, being held on Sunday 20th March from 3.00pm, will
focus on ‘Classical Mandolin Right Hand Technique and Exercises’
and ‘Classical Mandolin Repertoire’. Players of all abilities are
welcome.

Following the workshops Chris will give a recital.

The combined cost of both workshops and concert will be £35 per
person, or £5 for the recital only.

Date: Sunday 20th March 2011.
Arrival time: 2.30 to set up and tune for -
Workshop 1: 3.00-4.45 pm
Workshop 2: 5.00-6.45 pm
Recital:
7.15-8.00/8.15 pm.

Venue: The Exmouth Market Centre, 24 Exmouth Market,
Clerkenwell, London EC1R 4QE.

The Centre is situated adjacent to Holy Redeemer church. Exmouth
Market is near the junction of Rosebery Avenue and Farringdon
Road, opposite Mount Pleasant Post Office. It is about a 10 minute
walk from Angel, Chancery Lane and Farringdon and very close to
bus stops for the 19, 38 and 341. Parking is available in the area on
Sundays, and there is an NCP nearby.

King's Cross is a 13 minute direct bus ride from Exmouth Market by the 63 bus. Further details available on request.
