Jack The Lad

Postby Tosh Marshall » Fri Jan 04, 2008 3:03 pm

I got CD money for Xmas and got the Jack The Lad CD's, Old Straight Track and Rough Diamonds. There is some nice mando playing on them only I am not sure who by but it seems it could be Iain Walter Fairbairn, but Simon Cowe and Billy Mitchell play mando's as well. More up to date, I also got Dagger Gordon's Highland Mandolin, Mozaik's Changing Trains and Alison Stephen's Calace. All great. Also I got Gryphon, which, although not mando, has a really nice version of Kemp's Jig on it. The Swarb is great though!
Happy new year to all

On the mando and related fronts I got the Swarb CD, Alison Stephens' Calace, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss and Russ Barenberg's latest (which I haven't had chance to listen to yet, but I think there's some mandolin on there).

The Swarb CD is fab, thanks for recommending it.
