Just picked this up on The Mandolin Cafe board, one of the finest bits of playing I've ever seen.

Those of us of a certain age might prefer this version - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxIuIxqo2So&feature=fvst

Seriously, I came across Evan Marshall's playing of this one a couple of years ago and I think he's famous for it in the US. The worst thing on the clip is the attitude of the audience - you can hear them chatting away in the background seemingly ignorant of what's going on in front of them.

Evan is a superb player and there was another clip of him doing this in his front room which was probably better because as Ray points out the crowd are really obnoxious. It may be on Evan's website.
As for the Lone Ranger clip, I have spent a lot of time on theme tunes lately and my latest purchase is a CD of the original music to the Saint and Danger Man by Ted Astley (who happened to be Pete Townsend's father in law!). One think I hate on it though is the version called Secret Agent Man (as Danger Man was known in America), written by PF Sloan and sung by Johnny Rivers for the cheesy American market. Our version is far superior in my opinion.

If you're into theme tunes Tosh, have a look here - http://www.whirligig-tv.co.uk/ - with links to all your old favourites. The things we used to watch! Unfortunately very little mandolin content.

Yeah I know that site Ray, it's great but my real fave is this one: http://www.sixtiescity.com
Although no mando content it's fun to try and learn you're favourite theme tunes whatever your generation. Here is a YouTube link which contains some of my faves:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQ99UcmASBo
