Marc Woodward - Giovanni's tune

Postby Marc » Mon Feb 28, 2011 11:50 am

Hi all,
just thought I'd do some shameless self promotion - sorry!

Anyway here's a link to a new recording of a tune maybe destined for my long overdue follow up to Bluemando!

Hope you enjoy,

Cheers,

Hi Marc,
an excellent piece of playing, and so different to hear the bowl-back tone. I liked the tempo change around 1.10 and enjoyed hearing a melody do different from the celtic type of stuff I usually play. What a versatile instrument we have in the mandolin.

Love the deceptively relaxed looking fretwork Marc. Nice sound, very enjoyable.

Good stuff.

But that half hour has been a valuable contribution to your general well-being and happiness, Eoin, rather than just one of those half hours we can never get back again! Keep time-warping.

Thanks John and Eoin,

Yes, I've been trying to explore the bowlback thing a bit as opposed to doing everything on my old F2! As you'd expect some styles work better than others. Bluegrass ain't an option really!

Cheers,
Marc

Ps think of time spent on mandolin sites as daily meditation.... Ommm.....
