I own one of Kai's excellent mandolins, and I must say I'm delighted with it. I have also played a couple of his octave mandolins and I fell in love with them. I almost bought one, but I reckoned I wouldn't have a lot of use for it, so I held back. I may very well succumb one of these days...

Kai Tonjes website was OK when I tried it 2 minutes ago, whereas David Hodsons website is not available.

The bottom of the http://www.mandolin.org.uk/makers/tonjes.php page refers to a .de link that points to a "domain for sale" page...

What is the actual, working domain then ?
