Hi. Does anyone out there have information on a luthier called John Roberts, who produced stuff around the 1970s? I've been told that he died sometime in the early 1980s (apologies to all concerned if this is incorrect).I have an Octave Mandola made by him, and I just wanted to know a little more about him.

I still have one, biught from Hobgoblin in about 1981. The finish went and the top is bowed but it worked for about 5 years quite well. Not a good longterm buy but a good introduction. My Hullah from 89 has been much better.
